PMD Technics Tonearm Tube + Headshell Collar – Chrome Silver

Precision engineering, made in the UK, manufactured from high strength T6 6063 Aluminium available in a range of finishes.

The tubes feature a tapered end which provides even more strength in the area the original tonearm tubes tend to fail (bent at the tonearm clip!)

20swg gauge tubing, almost twice the thickness of the original part and only weighing a maximum of 0.7g more (or less depending on chosen finish)

Sonic characteristics match the original part almost identically with a slight reduction in resonance.

Our tonearm tubes are compatible with all Technics 1200 1210 MK2, MK3, M3D, MK4, MK5, M5G, MK5G, MK6, LTD, GLD, MK7, M7L, GR, GR2, 1500C and many more, please ask if uncertain.

Now for the geeky stuff….

Almost 2 years in development, we have tried and tested multiple materials to achieve, in our opinion, a much improved product over the original design. The T6 20swg aluminium is almost 5 times stronger than the T3 24swg alloy originally used. We have paid attention to where these tubes normally fail, usually bent at the tonearm clip. To counteract this, the tubes are tapered at the rear end to vastly improve strength in this troublesome area. This will be the last tonearm tube you will ever need!
With almost double the wall thickness for durability, the tube is slightly heavier than the original at +0.7g or less depending on the finish chosen. This increases the arm force setting (VTF) by a maximum of only 0.17g (or less depending on finish).
The anodised finish is hard wearing and scratch resistant, and of course, looks amazing!
We found, during our custom work, no matter how well you prepare the original tubes for paint, it was always easy to scratch off, so we developed these arms to combat this issue.
