Custom Technics BMW Sao Paulo Yellow SL1210MK2 (x2)
This project started out with a matched series pair of Technics SL1210MK2
Fully matched mainboards and internal components. The mainboards have been fully tested, solder reflowed on the main IC chips and commonly failing resistors / diodes replaced.
The decks have been fully stripped down and all components disassembled, cleaned, lubricated and calibrated back to factory specification.
Brand new pitch sliders, pitch felts, phono and earth leads fitted during the service procedure, which ensures these decks are running super tight and like a brand new pair.
All original paintwork fully removed and etch primed. Undercoat is then applied and smoothed, following basecoat and lacquer. This achieves the smoothest paintwork possible. Once the lacquer is down, the plinths are attentively machine polished to give a perfect high gloss finish.
Beautifully finished in BMW Sao Paulo Yellow paintwork, provided by our professional bodyshop. Original Technics factory graphics screen printed and UV cured in black, hard wearing enamel, plus fresh black with white text pitch trims.
The original platter was fully stripped of old paint, repainted in satin black. Edges and dots re-faced back to silver and then machine polished for a chrome finish.
Complimentary full cool white LED conversion including strobe, 33 / 45 buttons, pop up light and pitch zero.
MK7 style ‘blackout pack’ including real ABS black plastic button kit for Start/Stop, 33/45, Pitch Knob, Pop Up Surround. Anodised black aluminium tonearm tube, headshell collar, strobe tower, pop up turret and pin and custom headshells.
